About Suburban
Travel, taken personally.
We are a dedicated travel desk that designs journeys one traveler at a time. This is who we are, and how we came to work this way.
Suburban started around a single table, with a conviction that felt almost old-fashioned: that a journey is a personal thing, and planning one is an act of care. We had all worked in travel long enough to see what the industry had become — inventory, margins, itineraries copied and pasted between strangers — and long enough to know it did not have to be that way.
So we built a travel desk instead of an agency. We keep the team small on purpose. When you write to us, a person you will come to know by name reads your note, asks better questions than a booking form ever could, and begins to sketch. The sketch becomes a route; the route becomes reservations; and somewhere in the middle it stops being an itinerary and starts being yours.
Kerala is our home ground — its backwaters, hill country, kitchens and festivals are things we know the way you know your own neighbourhood. Beyond it, we plan a deliberate shortlist of international journeys with the same discipline: places we have stood in ourselves, partners we trust, and honest advice even when it costs us a booking.
We measure our work in a simple way: whether, months later, you find yourself telling the story of the trip without once mentioning the logistics. If the seams never showed, we did our job.
